Just to give you a quick update on progress, we are still on schedule for estimated shipping date. We have about 3 weeks worth of casting to complete, but in the mean time we will start the packing process.
At the moment all miniatures are being quality checked for defects (Helen has this awesome job!). They then go through a wash process, so when you receive them they are ready to assemble and paint.
We'll post images of the resin 75mm versions next week once we have some bases cast.
This image shows the metal miniatures that have their bases cast, we'll post more images soon.

Black Hallows Townsfolk II - Release date

We thought we'd give you a heads up on our release plans for the Townsfolk II range. We are planning on releasing them imminently....
Firstly, we want to say that we understand that some of you may be worried that releasing this next project could interfere with the production of the first set of Townsfolk - please do not be worried. We are Kickstarter backers ourselves, and we were backers before we became creators, which is why we try to be as open with you and give you as much information on production as possible. As you can imagine, the two projects are at different stages; there is no studio work to be done on the first set now, it's all about physical production, inspection, packing and shipping. That is all handled by the workshop team. While production has been happening, we have had a number of guys working on the development of the Townsfolk II range in the studio. This is the design, research and computer based work, which is where the next project will be for the next 2 months (approx).
So, with that said, our plan is to release the next range of Townsfolk (take a look at the image below!) on Sunday 17th of February!
Townsfolk II includes 7 townsfolk characters, 3 hero character add-ons, 2 horses and carts (a standard cart and gaol cart) and the Boar's Head Tavern and stables. We have planned another set of stretch goals and add-ons for you. (For more photos check out the Z1 Design Facebook page.)
We are also pleased to be able to share more from the world of Black Hallows, with an exciting collaboration with dark fantasy author Tom G. H. Adams, who is working on the first book of the Black Hallows. This will be available as an add-on and will give you a real insight into the darkness that lies beneath. It will also introduce you to more of the characters in the Black Hallows game (to be released later).
One of the things we're most keen to share with you, are the resin and metal buildings. For example, we'd like to welcome you to TheBoar's Head Tavern, where you can sup the finest ale, while listening to the latest news of distant lands and maybe talk a little business with a passing ranger. Each of the buildings have playable areas; for example, the tavern has a cellar, bar area and attic space; the stables have an upper room above the stalls. We love our RPG nights, so we will also be providing an RPG scenario/ one-shot to go with each of them (this includes each new building that release in the future too). Players will be able use any system (D&D, Pathfinder or GURPS) with them. We may even get round to streaming some of our games!
One new development for this set of Townsfolk, is that we'll be offering the 3D print files for the buildings too.
Some of you have also asked via social media, where the Black Hallows Townsfolk range is ultimately leading.... we will be explaining more about that on the Townsfolk II campaign page.
As ever, if you have any questions, please get in touch with us, either via Kickstarter, email, or any of our social media channels.

Here are a couple more characters we have planned for the next Townsfolk installment.
Kindra, local cleric is a beauty and no doubt about it. Diplomatic and scrupulous in her work, she exhibits a straightforward honesty that is respected by the Townsfolk.
One of the optional Hero characters for Black Hallows Townsfolk II.
Gazamunder & his his faithful ratter Plookes (Rat catcher & Hound)- "Gazamunder lets his hair grow long so he can comb it over his balding head. His grey eyes are narrowly set in his long pinched face. Acid tongued and downright rude but generous with rat furs if such will bring him greater gains in the future...
We will have another production update for the current Townsfolk early next week.
